Success at 1st Stop Recruitment’s Business Breakfast Event
1st Stop have had remarkable success this morning following our Business Breakfast event this morning. The breakfast celebrated both the full launch of our new website (the one you’re on now!) and 16 years in business. The event gave the team the opportunity to learn about the people behind the companies we work with. It’s always great when we can speak about recruitment too!
In addition to getting to know our clients and showcasing our new site (over a bacon butty!), we also collected a significant amount of food donations for the Reach Charity in Haverhill. Companies all over Haverhill and surrounding areas have been kind enough to provide generous donations, in both monetary and food parcel form. It goes to a great cause, with Reach providing those in a crisis with food and debt advice. Sometimes having a job isn’t enough. For those who can’t escape their circumstances or need help getting back on their feet through hard times, we are happy to help in any way we can.
Lesley Whiting, the Director of 1st Stop Recruitment, gave a speech about the future of recruitment, GDPR changes, and the development of 1st Stop over its 16 years. Next, Henry Wilson also spoke on behalf of Reach. Henry gave an overview of Reach’s previous year and afterwards provided more information about what Reach does in our community. With plenty of help from generous local businesses, 1st Stop Recruitment have gathered over 194lbs in food donations for the Reach Haverhill Foodbank. A great effort for a great cause, thank you to everyone!
